Privacy & cookies

Last updated: 2026-09-30

Summary: the free part works without an account and without cookies. Only if you want to save your progress or buy do you create an account with your email; we keep that email, your practice results and what you bought. Payment details go to Paddle, not to us. We use no analytics or advertising tools.

1. What data we keep

If you only use the free part (dates, test centers, academies, calculator and the free practice), we ask for no personal data.

If you want to save your progress or buy, you create an account with your email (you sign in with a link or a code; there is no password). We keep: your email, an account identifier, what you bought or the status and dates of your subscription, and the customer, purchase and subscription identifiers that Paddle sends us.

If you practice while signed in, we save each practice set you finish: which one it was, your answers (including what you write in the writing section), the score we calculate and the time you took. We use them only to show you your progress and the questions to review. Only you can see them.

We never receive or store your card or other payment details.

2. What we use it for

To give you access to what you bought, save and show your progress, and keep you signed in (performance of a contract), to keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations. We don't send you advertising and we don't sell your data.

3. Payments: Paddle

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle receives your payment and billing details, calculates taxes and issues invoices; Paddle's privacy policy applies to that data.

4. Cookies

Without an account, the site uses no cookies. With an account we use only strictly necessary cookies: your session cookies (so you stay signed in) and a temporary one-hour cookie that remembers which page to return to after signing in. We use no analytics or advertising cookies, which is why there is no consent banner.

When you open the payment window, Paddle loads its own code and may use cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention, under its own policy.

5. Browser local storage

While you practice, your answers and progress are saved in YOUR browser's session storage (sessionStorage), only so you don't lose them on reload; they are deleted when you close the tab. If you are not signed in, your answers never leave your browser. If you are signed in, when you finish a practice set we send the result to your account (see “What data we keep”).

If you finish a practice set without an account and tap “Sign in to save”, that result is kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) until you sign in, for at most one day, and then we send it to your account.

6. Providers

We use providers that process data on our behalf: web hosting (Vercel-type services), database and user accounts, including the sign-in emails (Supabase), and payments (Paddle, as explained above). They may process data outside your country with the safeguards the law requires.

Our providers may temporarily log technical request data (IP address, timestamp, page, browser) for security and operation. We don't use it to profile you.

The site links to external pages (official TOPIK sites, maps). When you open them, their policies apply.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account and your practice history for as long as you have the account. You can delete your history or your account at any time in My account: they are deleted right away (your email, your history and your access records). If you can't sign in, write to us and we'll delete it. Paddle keeps the payment records the law requires it to keep.

8. Children

To create an account or buy, you must be of legal age or have permission from a parent or guardian. Without an account, the site collects data from no one.

9. Your rights

Data-protection laws (such as the GDPR in Europe or Mexico's LFPDPPP) give you the right to access, correct, delete and take your data, and to object to certain uses. You can delete your history and your account yourself in My account; to exercise the others, write to us. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Changes to this policy

If the service changes, we will update this policy BEFORE collecting any new data, and the “last updated” date will reflect it.
